Data processed

When you browse the website, the web server may process your IP address, the date and time, the requested URL and browser information in technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

If you contact WINTS by email, WINTS receives the contact details, message content and any attachments that you choose to send.

Purposes and legal bases

Website operation, troubleshooting and security are based on WINTS’ legitimate interests in providing a reliable service.

Aggregate audience measurement is based on WINTS’ legitimate interest in improving the website. The site-side implementation is designed for the French consent exemption, provided the Matomo administration settings described below are also applied. Visitors can object at any time below.

Messages are processed to answer requests, take pre-contractual steps when requested, or pursue WINTS’ legitimate interest in managing professional enquiries.

Audience measurement

The website uses a self-hosted Matomo instance without cookies, heatmaps or session recording. The measurement is limited to aggregate audience statistics used to improve the website.

IP addresses must be anonymised by at least two bytes in the Matomo administration settings. Audience data must not be retained for more than 25 months.

You may disable audience measurement on this device at any time.

Storage on your device

The website does not use audience-measurement cookies. It may store the chosen language, visual theme and Matomo opt-out preference in your browser’s local storage; these values are used only to remember your choices.

Recipients

Data is accessible only to authorised WINTS personnel and, where technically necessary, to LWS as hosting provider. Audience data remains in WINTS’ self-hosted Matomo instance and is not sold.

Retention

Detailed Matomo audience data must be deleted within 25 months. Professional enquiries may be kept for up to three years after the last contact, unless a contract or legal obligation requires a different period. Technical logs are kept only for the limited period needed for security and operation.

External videos

YouTube videos are not loaded automatically. When you choose to load a video, your browser connects to YouTube and Google may process technical connection data under its own privacy policy.

Contact and your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, by contacting WINTS. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL.
